One risky tactic is to drive the Katyusha up close to the target and fire the volley, but be sure to bring escorts and make sure the area is safe. After firing the rockets, the ability will be locked until the cooldown expires. The rockets have trouble damaging armored units though, but wreak havoc on infantry units: 16 rockets can wipe out multiple squads.
